About The Position

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for leading Intrepid’s Finance function, including Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Treasury, Tax, Internal Audit, Information Technology, Strategic Sourcing, and Investor Relations. The CFO provides strategic and operational financial leadership to support the Company’s business strategy, growth objectives, and operational execution. This role serves as a key strategic thought partner to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team and requires significant interaction with the Board of Directors. The CFO develops and executes a finance roadmap that enhances financial performance, ensures strong governance and controls, and supports long‑term shareholder value creation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field required; MBA, CPA, or equivalent advanced credential preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including senior executive responsibility in finance, accounting, and capital markets.
  • Demonstrated experience working closely with a Board of Directors and Board Committees.
  • Strong background in public company financial reporting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive financial and strategic information.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and partner effectively with senior leadership and the Board.
  • Deep understanding of financial planning, capital markets, accounting, internal controls, and enterprise risk management.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills with a results‑oriented mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
  • High degree of integrity, sound judgment, and commitment to ethical business practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment and respond effectively to changing business conditions.
  • Proven leader with experience building high‑performing teams and developing future leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction over all aspects of the Company’s finance, accounting, tax, treasury, internal audit, IT, strategic sourcing, and investor relations functions.
  • Serve as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, contributing to enterprise strategy, annual operating plans, budgets, and long‑range forecasts.
  • Act as a trusted business partner to commercial and operations leaders by delivering timely financial analysis, performance insights, benchmarks, and recommendations that drive profitable growth and operational improvement.
  • Lead financial planning and analysis processes, including forecasting, variance analysis, performance dashboards, and key business metrics to monitor Company performance against internal targets and external guidance.
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting, including SEC filings, tax filings, and internal management reporting, ensuring adherence to GAAP, SOX, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain the integrity of the Company’s financial controls, accounting systems, and compliance processes; continuously assess and strengthen internal controls and risk management practices.
  • Serve as the primary interface with the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors; support Board and Committee meetings with clear, concise, and transparent financial reporting and analysis.
  • Lead capital markets activities and investor relations efforts, including engagement with analysts, shareholders, lenders, and rating agencies, ensuring consistent and credible external communication.
  • Oversee capital structure, liquidity, and treasury activities, including debt management, cash forecasting, and optimization of working capital.
  • Provide leadership and oversight of the Information Technology function to ensure systems reliability, data integrity, cybersecurity, and alignment with business needs.
  • Oversee Strategic Sourcing to develop and execute long‑term sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, supplier performance, and risk management.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top finance and related functional talent; foster a culture of accountability, transparency, high performance, and ethical conduct.
