About The Position

The Claims Admin Supervisor oversees operations of a team of Claims Assistants, which may include one or more of the following functions: human resources, customer service, support and training on internal systems. This is a hybrid position.

Requirements

  • Ability to work on several concurrent tasks and prioritize workload with minimal direction while meeting deadlines and maintaining strong customer service orientation
  • Strong attention to detail with a high commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize Microsoft Office including Outlook and Excel
  • High school diploma required
  • Pay Range: $19.24 - $31.04 per hour

Nice To Haves

  • college degree preferred
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience in the worker’s compensation claims industry preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for directing a team of Claims Assistants in their day-to-day operations, ensuring employees have all the tools and resources needed to be successful in their role
  • Identify, analyze, and solve escalated problems outside of standard processes
  • Ensure staff compliance with Workers’ Compensation laws and mandated regulatory reporting requirements
  • Direct training efforts for new employees and oversee ongoing training for existing staff
  • Responsible for the quality of service provided by Claims Assistant team
  • Responsible for human resources matters directly related the team supervised with support from HR Business Partner as needed; including employee performance management
  • Serve as back up for Claims Assistant tasks as needed including setting up of new claims, recording of documentation, and assisting with customer phone calls and examiner support
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect operations by keeping sensitive information confidential
  • Additional duties as required
