About The Position
Ace Hardware is looking for a full-time Hardware Clerk. A Hardware Clerk assists customers in locating hardware products, provide basic product knowledge, and maintains store inventory and displays. The role involves customer service, stocking shelves, operating a cash register and ensuring the hardware department is organized and safe.
Requirements
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic math skills for transactions and measurements.
- Occasional lifting, stocking and moving merchandise.
- Must be available for a weekend rotation.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers in finding tools, paint, and other hardware items
- Provide basic advice on product selection and usage.
- Stock shelves and ensure merchandise is properly labeled and displayed.
- Operate cash register and process customer purchases when required.
- Monitor inventory levels and report low stock.
