Requirements

  • Must be able to learn and adapt to forest accounting systems.
  • Absolute attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
  • Working knowledge of office procedures and equipment.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal information.
  • Ability to develop strong team relationships with managers, co-workers, clients, vendors, and customers.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload.
  • Office experience involving multiple types of computer software and evidence of ability to perform tasks with detailed data accurately and quickly.
  • Minimum 1 year of accounting experience

Nice To Haves

  • An associate’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile and apply customer payments – accounts receivable functions.
  • Enter mill scale slips into forest management accounting system.
  • Produce weekly logger settlements.
  • Keep internal production summary sheets up to date with accurate and timely data.
  • Produce sales agreements and fuel adjustments for our pulp customers.
  • Maintain timber security spreadsheets and satisfy audit requirements.
  • Greet visitors and assist with incoming/outgoing mail and shipments.
  • Perform other related duties and tasks as necessary or as assigned.
