About The Position

Our Chase Correspondent Home Lending Team purchases closed mortgage loans and mortgage servicing rights from independent mortgage banks and financial institutions across the country with a focus on delivering liquidity, reliability and market leading services.  We’re a relationship-driven investor committed to our clients and the communities we serve together. As a Client Relationship Manager (CRM) for Correspondent Lending you will be responsible for prospecting, owning and growing strategic relationships with correspondent clients (Independent Mortgage Bankers and Financial Institutions).  You will facilitate production growth, optimize strategic initiatives and oversee overall correspondent relationships.  You will also serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor, developing a deep understanding of client’s objectives, operating model and growth priorities. You will develop strategies and actionable plans that deliver the full value of Chase as an investor. The role advances business opportunities and coordinates engagement across cross‑functional internal partners to ensure cohesive execution and best in class client experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years in mortgage/correspondent lending, capital markets, secondary marketing or client/account management
  • Deep understanding of Business to Consumer/Correspondent channel, loan delivery, purchase processes and agency/investor requirements
  • Working knowledge of operational policies and practices to effectively represent Chase processes
  • Success in managing a portfolio of clients with measurable production growth
  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary relationship owner establishing executive‑level and day‑to‑day contacts for assigned clients
  • Develop deep understanding of client strategies and align Chase’s value proposition to their business objectives
  • Conduct volume analysis to identify opportunities; design and execute client-level strategies to increase share
  • Educate client Production Leads and other functional areas on Chase products and processes
  • Identify risks through interactions with all levels of the client, responding to requests from Risk and facilitating the resolution of all client risk events (negative news, legal actions, poor performance)
  • Prospect and build the active client base by sourcing, qualifying and facilitating the approval process for new clients
  • Lead client focused strategies by leveraging the full suite of JPMC products and services
  • Influence and advocate for policy and process changes that support client needs and improve the client experience
  • Participate actively in in-person client meetings, regional and national events
  • Mentor junior team members by sharing best practices, providing coaching, and supporting development
