About The Position

Keystone is a non-profit organization proudly serving the Rock Hill, South Carolina community. As an organization in accredited and licensed services, we provide comprehensive education, prevention, and treatment programs designed to empower individuals and families facing alcohol and drug related challenges. We are looking to invite a passionate and dedicated full-time Clinical Counselor to join our mission-driven team during the daytime and/or evenings and help make a meaningful impact every day.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited program preferred, bachelor’s degree in human service-related field from a regionally accredited program required (such as counseling, social work, or psychology). Other degrees will be considered based on relevance to position and acceptability to DAODAS/SCAADAC for credentialing purposes. Provisional certification as an alcohol and drug counselor by an agency approved association is required postemployment.
  • Clinical Counselor I: Provisional certification as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor or Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ADC-IP/AADC-IP) by SCAADAC is required post-employment.
  • Clinical Counselor II: Certification as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ADC or AADC) by SCAADAC is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides all core functions as defined by Addiction Professionals of South Carolina (APSC).
  • Acquires and maintains credentialing as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ADC-IP or ADC) through SCAADAC. Follows the SCAADAC code of ethics.
  • Maintains patient record in compliance with all governing bodies to include, DAODAS, DHEC, CARF and DHHS (Medicaid).
  • Obtains and maintains a working knowledge of ASAM PPC2-R and DSM 5 criteria for substance use disorders.
  • Observes, trains, and becomes proficient in all treatment programs.
  • Works within various programs to provide staff coverage of group, individual, or assessment sessions.
  • Participates as a Peer Review Auditor when requested.
  • Remains current by attending Safety Trainings, mandatory trainings/licensure, and receiving an annual TB screening.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications and Medical Records software applications, emails, etc.
  • Administer the GPRA and follow up forms at appropriate times.
  • Maintains a caseload and other duties assigned by Supervisor
