About The Position

A well-established aerospace and automotive manufacturing company in Macomb County is seeking an experienced CMM Operator to join its growing Quality team. This role offers the opportunity to work with high-precision components in a fast-paced, quality-focused manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• 2+ years of CMM operating experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong experience with PC-DMIS (program execution and editing required)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
• Experience inspecting tight-tolerance, precision-machined components
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• GD&T

Nice To Haves

• Background in aerospace and/or automotive manufacturing strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect precision-machined parts and components
• Run and edit inspection programs using PC-DMIS software
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings
• Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections to ensure product quality
• Accurately document inspection results and maintain quality records
• Identify non-conformances and communicate findings to Quality and Production teams
• Maintain calibration documentation and ensure compliance with aerospace and automotive quality standards
