About The Position

The CNA Training role prepares individuals to deliver safe, compassionate, and effective direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. This position participates in a structured training program designed to build essential clinical skills, professional behaviors, and practical knowledge needed to support patients’ personal care, comfort, and daily living needs. Trainees work alongside experienced caregivers in a collaborative, supportive team environment that emphasizes learning, respect, and patient-centered care. Upon successful completion of training and certification, the role contributes to high-quality patient care across hospital, clinic, or long-term care settings, with a consistent focus on patient safety, dignity, and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Following completion of training course, requires ND CNA certification
  • BLS certification required within orientation period. Training is provided.
  • None
  • Computer and keyboarding skills.
  • This role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and assisting with patient movement throughout training and clinical environments.
  • The position involves lifting, repositioning, and transferring patients or equipment with appropriate assistance and use of safe patient handling techniques.
  • Adequate vision, hearing, communication skills, and manual dexterity are required to observe patient conditions, follow instructions, and perform hands-on care tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Participate fully in the CNA training program, including classroom instruction, skills labs, and supervised clinical practice, in alignment with program requirements and policies.
  • Learn and demonstrate fundamental nursing assistant skills, including personal care, mobility assistance, vital sign measurement, and basic patient observation.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living while maintaining respect, privacy, and comfort at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and members of the care team to support coordinated and patient-centered care.
  • Follow infection prevention, safety, and confidentiality standards, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Complete required documentation and assessments accurately as directed during the training and clinical experience.
