About The Position

What Production Operation contributes to Cardinal Health Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment.

Requirements

  • Machinist Degree preferred, or 2+ years of relevant experience preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Strong understanding of metal properties and machining processes
  • Good mathematical and analytical skills
  • Proven experience in a tool room or similar environment
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers) accurately
  • Knowledge of CNC programming and operation

Responsibilities

  • Sets up, operate, and program Tool Room equipment including CNC Mills, CNC Lathe, saw, manual mill and lathes.
  • Set up and operate surface and cylindrical grinders.
  • Manufacture parts and components to print specifications using manual and CNC machinery.
  • Clean, evaluate, maintain, repair, and convert injection molds.
  • Work safely and maintain molds and equipment to operate as designed.
  • Maintain service records in compliance with FDA & ISO standards.
  • Determine root cause when addressing major tool damage / failure.
  • Report findings to the Tool Room Lead.
