Requirements

  • Ability to set up and operate CNC lathe machines
  • Understanding of G & M Codes
  • Able to read drawings and blueprints, calculate and determine dimensions not given
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Able to work independently
  • Experience using calipers, micrometers, thread gauges
  • Computer skills
  • PLC knowledge, ability to edit programs
  • Ability to operate manual secondary equipment such as drill press, saw, punch press, etc.
  • Knowledge of turning, facing and boring to hold tolerances +/- 0.001
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds without assistance
  • High School Diploma, GED, or technical school
  • 3+ years as a CNC Machinist with PLC knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and job orders
  • Set up and operate CNC late machines to manufacture parts according to specification
  • Edit programs, speeds and feeds
  • Use manual tools to deburr parts and components
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC equipment
  • Quality inspections of finished parts
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize production processes
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain clean work environment
