Requirements

Ability to set up and operate CNC lathe machines
Understanding of G & M Codes
Able to read drawings and blueprints, calculate and determine dimensions not given
Strong mathematical skills
Able to work independently
Experience using calipers, micrometers, thread gauges
Computer skills
PLC knowledge, ability to edit programs
Ability to operate manual secondary equipment such as drill press, saw, punch press, etc.
Knowledge of turning, facing and boring to hold tolerances +/- 0.001
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds without assistance
High School Diploma, GED, or technical school
3+ years as a CNC Machinist with PLC knowledge

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and job orders
Set up and operate CNC late machines to manufacture parts according to specification
Edit programs, speeds and feeds
Use manual tools to deburr parts and components
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC equipment
Quality inspections of finished parts
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize production processes
Follow all safety procedures and maintain clean work environment
