About The Position

We’re looking for a collaborative and client-focused Colleague HR Consultant to join our Professional Services team. In this highly visible role, you will partner directly with colleges and universities to modernize HR operations, strengthen workforce processes, and elevate the employee experience across campus. You’ll serve as both a functional expert and trusted advisor—guiding institutions through SaaS implementations, process transformation, and strategic HR optimization. Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with the Colleague HR product or similar HR Systems
  • 2+ years of experience in implementation, consulting, or functional training delivery.
  • Functional expertise in Higher Education HR processes a plus (e.g., position control, benefits administration, payroll integration, compliance reporting).
  • Ability to lead client-facing workshops and confidently facilitate discussions with HR and Payroll stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose root causes and translate business requirements into system solutions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Professional presence and the ability to influence both operational users and executive stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel onsite as required to support customer engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation and optimization efforts for the Colleague HR solution, ensuring successful SaaS adoption and long-term customer value.
  • Partner with campus HR and Payroll leaders to modernize processes including position management, benefits, onboarding, compliance, and workforce reporting.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers—translating institutional goals into scalable system and process solutions.
  • Drive measurable outcomes including improved operational efficiency, enhanced data integrity, and stronger compliance posture.
  • Identify risks early, resolve complex challenges, and proactively remove barriers to project success.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of implementation methodology, tools, and delivery artifacts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with project managers, technical teams, and peer consultants to exceed customer expectations.
  • Champion a customer-first mindset that strengthens long-term partnerships and satisfaction.
