About The Position

Sullivan Motors is a growing Buy Here Pay Here (BHPH) dealership committed to helping customers obtain reliable transportation while rebuilding their credit. We pride ourselves on responsible lending, strong customer relationships, and a high-performing portfolio. We are seeking an experienced Collections & Portfolio Manager to oversee our customer payment portfolio, lead collections strategies, and ensure strong portfolio performance. The Collections & Portfolio Manager is responsible for managing the dealership’s in-house finance portfolio, reducing delinquency, improving collections efficiency, and maintaining positive customer relationships. This role combines collections leadership, portfolio analysis, and team management.

Requirements

3+ years of collections or portfolio management experience (automotive finance or BHPH preferred)
Strong knowledge of collections processes and delinquency management
Experience managing or supervising collections staff
Ability to analyze loan portfolios and identify risk trends
Excellent negotiation and customer service skills
Strong organizational and communication abilities

Nice To Haves

Experience with dealership management systems or collections software is a plus

Responsibilities

Oversee the performance of the dealership’s BHPH loan portfolio
Manage and coach collections staff to achieve delinquency and recovery goals
Monitor delinquency levels, charge-offs, and portfolio trends
Develop and implement effective collections strategies
Work with customers to resolve past-due accounts and create payment solutions
Ensure compliance with all applicable collections and consumer finance regulations
Coordinate repossession and recovery processes when necessary
Maintain accurate records and documentation of customer accounts
Analyze portfolio data and report performance metrics to ownership/management
Implement processes that improve payment performance and reduce risk
