About The Position

The Summer Intern will be an important part of our Communications team. The duties will involve a mix of strategic projects, digital analytics, and hands-on learning. The position is part-time, 20-hours per week for approximately 10 weeks. The Summer Intern will report to the Director of Communications and will have opportunities to work cross functionally with others in the organization.

Experience crafting & editing digital & social media content

Willingness to travel for event opportunities
Applicants must be enrolled in college or a recent graduate.

Responsibilities

Researching and writing for email, the website and social media
Learning about how analytics inform communications strategy and gaining hands-on experience in analytics platforms
Updating web content in Wordpress
Tracking press mentions
Participating in cross-departmental efforts to gain an understanding of how other teams integrate with communications work
Participate in communications planning for events in Washington, D.C.
Create graphic and video content for use across American Promise's digital channels
