About The Position

Superior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing, Inc. is a trusted statewide provider of skilled trade construction supporting commercial new construction, tenant improvements, and 24/7 emergency services for our clients. The Electrical Commercial Estimator plays a key role in developing accurate, competitive cost estimates for TI and new construction electrical installation projects. This individual will analyze plans and specifications, perform material and labor take-offs, and collaborate with project managers, and the internal purchasing department to prepare comprehensive bids. Work Location Requirement This position is on-site at the corporate office and is not available as a remote or hybrid role. Candidates must be able to work from the office during standard business hours. Requirements

Minimum of three years of retail electrical estimating experience, with a solid understanding of electrical materials and methods of installation
Ability to interpret refrigeration, mechanical, plumbing, architectural, and/or structural plans and specifications related to electrical installation
Thorough knowledge of electrical materials and methods of installation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, SureCount, Autodesk, Intellibid, and/or EBM preferred

Responsibilities

Review electrical drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine scope, bid strategy, and estimate requirements
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for electrical systems, materials, equipment, and labor (e.g., conduit, wire, panels, devices, lighting, switchgear)
Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates and proposals for commercial electrical projects
Ensure estimates align with company standards, industry best practices, and applicable codes and regulations
Participate in project meetings and provide estimating input during preconstruction and planning phases
Maintain current knowledge of electrical industry trends, material pricing, labor factors, and emerging technologies
