In Kansas City, we have an office with an Engineering team that supports our sought-after solutions for turnkey projects and contracted power. And our worldwide service centers ensure local service expertise near our customers. Our expanding service footprint includes Phoenix, Buenos Aires, New Brunswick, and additional locations in Europe, Australia, and Southeast Asia. The Commercial Intern will support the CM&U team by developing ready-to-use proposal packages and enhancing key commercial tools, including cost models and proposal templates. This role will also focus on performing data analysis, improving data quality, and refining datasets to enable more accurate, efficient, and data-driven commercial decision-making. The position offers hands-on exposure to commercial strategy, pricing, proposal development, and analytics within a dynamic business environment.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical and Industrial)
  • Must read, write and speak fluent English.
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
  • Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and assemble ready-to-use proposal packages to support commercial opportunities and client engagements.
  • Design, update, and enhance commercial tools, including cost models and standardized proposal templates for CM&U.
  • Support pricing and costing activities through structured financial modeling and analysis.
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Improve data quality by cleansing, validating, and refining datasets used in commercial decision-making.
  • Assist in maintaining centralized commercial documentation and tools for cross-functional use.
  • Collaborate with commercial, finance, and operations teams to gather inputs and ensure alignment in proposal development.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to commercial processes and reporting.
