We're looking for an experienced Commercial Loan Officer to join our team and play a key role in growing and managing our commercial lending portfolio while supporting the financial success of our local business community. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Commercial Loan Officer, you'll balance business development, credit analysis, and portfolio management while serving as a trusted advisor to your clients.

Requirements

  • 2 - 5 years of experience in commercial lending, banking, and/or commercial real estate
  • Strong background in credit analysis, underwriting, and portfolio management preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • High level of discretion, professionalism, and integrity
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • A collaborative mindset with the confidence to work independently

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage strong relationships with commercial clients and prospects.
  • Identify opportunities for commercial loans, deposits, and treasury management services.
  • Actively network and represent the bank in the local community and at industry events.
  • Partner with internal teams to deliver comprehensive banking solutions.
  • Interview loan applicants and assess creditworthiness through detail financial analysis.
  • Structure, propose, and recommend loan terms aligned with client needs and bank guidelines.
  • Prepare and support commercial loan approvals in collaboration with credit management.
  • Ensure all loan documentation is accurate and compliant with policies and regulations.
  • Manage an assigned commercial loan portfolio to ensure quality, compliance, and profitability.
  • Monitor covenant compliance, financial reporting, and annual reviews.
  • Identify potential credit risks early and recommend solutions.
  • Participate in collection efforts to minimize delinquency.
  • Comply with all applicable banking laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, and related anti-money laundering statutes; and federal consumer protection legislation and regulations.
  • Coordinate commercial banking activities across the banking center network.
  • Partner with business lines such as treasury management, mortgage lending, and affinity banking to meet client needs.
  • Participate in joint calling efforts to deepen relationships and expand services.
