Idaho Power Company (IPC) — located in vibrant Boise, Idaho — is looking for a Communication Technician Apprentice or Journeyman to join our Planning, Engineering, and Construction team. What does a Communication Technician Apprentice or Journeyman do for us? They ensure secure operation of the interconnected electrical power system by installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and maintaining communications systems (i.e., digital microwave, DWDM, MPLS, TDM, IP LAN and WAN, power line carrier, satellite, IP and analog telephone, fiber optic, leased circuit, trunked mobile radio, dispatch console, wireless RF data collection and control, cellular equipment, alarm backhaul, and other associated communications-related electronic equipment that supports internal and external Idaho Power customers).
