As a Dining Site Coordinator at Meals on Wheels Western Michigan, you will play an essential role in serving nutritious meals that cater to the needs of clients in a dining site setting. This position is vital in supporting our mission of delivering both nourishment and companionship. Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages meal attendance and positive engagement.
• Prepare, heat, and serve meals, and complete all cleanup tasks following established procedures.
• Follow all required food safety and sanitation standards to ensure a safe dining experience.
• Order meals and site supplies using best practices to reduce waste and maintain cost efficiency.
• Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to support meal site operations as needed.
• Maintain participant records and complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Follow established cash‑handling and cash‑control procedures.
• Promote a positive and enjoyable dining experience for all participants.
• Encourage client donations through education, excellent service, and a positive environment.
• Gather feedback from clients regularly and communicate insights to the supervisor.
• Refer clients to additional services when appropriate to support their well-being.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, and work surfaces as required.
• Perform dishwashing duties, including manual washing and operation of a commercial dishwasher.
