About The Position

The Compliance Engineer provides energy storage system product compliance support and deliverables for product development, sales proposals, and projects by working with key stakeholders; customers, colleagues, consultants and authorities having jurisdiction.

Requirements

Expertise in energy storage systems (ESS) is desired.
Detailed familiarity with existing codes and standards and certification processes, especially for energy storage systems (e.g. UL1973, UL9540, NFPA 855).
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to effectively communicate through multiple channels, including conference calls, e-mails, video conferences, and in-person meetings.
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field is required.
4 years of experience with ESS
2 years direct experience with ESS compliance

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of fire safety solutions is preferred.
Advanced degrees are preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide support for product development and sales proposals through reviews and analysis of codes and standards requirements.
Provide compliance support for projects and provide reviews and input for compliance deliverables.
Review products and projects versus applicable codes and standards and perform gap analyses.
Understand local requirements to facilitate project deployments.
Collaborate with colleagues globally on compliance topics.
Represent LGES Vertech in customer/key stakeholder meetings, industry events, and committee meetings.
