About The Position

Proof of the Pudding (POP) is the exclusive Food & Beverage provider to the Gateway Center Arena and Georgia International Convention Center (GICC), providing amazing culinary experiences at our VIP Premier Area, three themed concession stands, and numerous pop-up vendors! Gateway Center Arena at College Park is a state-of-the-art 5,000-seat venue located in Metro Atlanta’s Southside. Georgia International Convention Center (GICC) includes a 9,800 sq. ft. state-of-the-art culinary arts center and Georgia's largest ballroom at 40,000 sq. ft. We are seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor to oversee the relationships and operations of our third-party partners. This role will prioritize The Atlanta Dream home games but may assist and be scheduled for other events within Gateway Arena and GICC. Requirements

  • Experience with food & beverage is strongly preferred, roles in fast casual dining, concessions supervisor, high volume food prep positions will translate well to this role.
  • High school diploma of GED
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude
  • The ability to work well with others and take initiative to succeed individually
  • Knowledge of best food safety practices
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Availability on Atlanta Dream home games
  • Adherence to Company Uniform Requirements outlined in the Associate Handbook, uniform requirements outlined in your orientation guidelines.
  • Non-slip shoes are necessary.
  • Prolonged periods of moving through kitchen, coolers, and storage spaces, and traveling to different venues across greater Atlanta
  • Physical endurance to work long shifts in a busy environment.
  • Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items across uneven ground
  • Ability to perform physical tasks; such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all aspects of 3rd party vendors including but not limited to, communications, assisting with set up, stocking, inventory, and operations. This position will be a main point of contact for vendors on event days.
  • Monitor temperatures of food to assure safety and quality standards are met; monitor water temperatures to assure proper temperature for sanitizing.
  • Merchandise and serve food and beverage according to established guidelines and replenish as needed.
  • Clean equipment, utensils and appliances and properly store food and beverage supplies; ensure compliance with sanitation and safety procedures and regulations; clean refrigerators and storerooms as required.
  • Assist in storing unused food and supplies; disposing of unusable leftovers; utilize proper methods of handling foods to be stored.
  • Assist with inventory and maintain routine records as directed; prepare records of food and beverage
  • Be clean, neat, and professionally dressed at all times.
  • Train and oversee workers to ensure daily success of the food stand.
  • Operate and oversee the POS program/cashiers and troubleshoot as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as needed.
