Join us at Flying Horse Resort and Club, your success starts now. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: The Conference Lead is responsible for ensuring conference service and maintaining high guest satisfaction. They work closely with the Banquet Operations Manager and Conference Captain to execute events efficiently. This role involves coordinating conference staff while in communication with banquet kitchen, and ensuring compliance with all state and federal labor laws, including Colorado wage and hour regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of hospitality and conference service with leadership experience.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of Colorado wage laws, liquor service regulations, and health department standards.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead conference servers during events
  • Ensure all conference details are executed per client requests
  • Monitor staff performance and provide guidance to ensure efficient and professional service.
  • Work in cooperation with Conference Captain to ensure compliance with Colorado labor laws, including proper rest and meal breaks, overtime regulations, and wage transparency requirements.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure food presentation and timing meet established conference standards.
  • Monitor banquet setup and breakdown, ensuring accuracy of room sets, break stations, décor, and AV equipment.
  • Ensure all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations are adhered to in compliance with Colorado state laws.
