General Summary: The Logistics Coordinator I will manage inventory and logistics for a divisional warehouse or large job site. The Logistics Coordinator I will be involved in scheduling all inbound/outbound shipments. Will coordinate with all site leaders for material needs. Will make deliveries from the warehouse to the job site or site to site. The Logistics Coordinator I will report to the Division or Department Manager.

Requirements

  • References, Background Check, Drug Screen Testing, Valid Driver’s License.
  • License: Class A CDL preferred, not required after 6 months of employment.
  • Certification: OSHA 10, CPR & First Aid.
  • Education: High School Graduate/GED preferred.
  • Experience: 3 years Logistics or inventory/tracking experience preferred
  • Positively identify colors of wire and other items as required.
  • Must have the ability to safely use required power tools.
  • Must be able to safely operate construction equipment (trencher, forklift, aerial work platforms, etc.).
  • Capable of using hand tools or power equipment.
  • Comprehend and practice safe work procedures as outlined in Company Safety Handbook.
  • Operate two handed tools as required. Cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, etc.
  • Operate company truck with manual and automatic transmission.
  • Must be able to drive at night safely.
  • Read and interpret maps, instructional manuals, work site directions, and written instructions.
  • Must hear and see well (either natural or with correction).
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach overhead.
  • Able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Tolerant to prolonged standing and movement on foot.
  • Climb ladders (all types).
  • Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
  • Must be able to make transition from employee parking area or street into construction work areas and to gain access to all levels of the building, even if the only means of access is by O.S.H.A. approved site construction ladder or stairs still under construction but acceptable for use.

  • OSHA 10 Hour, CPR, and First Aid trained.
  • Able to maintain high levels of productivity, meeting deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Ability to supervise site team.
  • Demonstrate understanding of electrical construction material & tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in ProCore, MS Office Tools and inventory management software.
  • General knowledge of electrical construction, maintenance, productivity, and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee shipping and receiving by unloading trucks and checking in merchandise.
  • Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
  • Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer.
  • Ensure team maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat, sweeps, dusts, and mops.
  • Oversee organization of connex and work area for orderliness at all times.
  • Wear the proper safety equipment.
  • All other duties as assigned.
