About The Position

The Content Lead serves as both a strategic brand storyteller and a senior individual contributor responsible for shaping how Massanutten Resort communicates across all guest touchpoints. At a pivotal moment as the resort launches an evolved brand platform, this role will lead the development and execution of written content that strengthens brand voice, enhances guest understanding, and drives conversion across marketing channels and digital experiences. The Content Lead translates brand strategy into clear, compelling messaging — ensuring consistency, emotional connection, and clarity from inspiration through booking and on-property experience. While collaborating across departments, this role independently develops high-impact written content including campaign messaging, new product storytelling, ad copy, digital experiences, and guest communications.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in brand content, copywriting, or content strategy
  • Experience operating as a senior individual contributor within a marketing or brand team
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating both brand storytelling and performance-driven copy
  • Deep understanding of conversion messaging and digital user behavior
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms, CMS environments, project management tools (e.g., Asana or similar)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience writing for multi-channel campaigns and hospitality, travel, lifestyle, or experiential brands
  • Comfort leveraging AI tools while maintaining brand standards and editorial quality
  • Basic knowledge of usage rights and legal compliance for written content
  • Experience maintaining messaging templates and libraries to improve efficiency

Responsibilities

  • Lead the application and evolution of Massanutten Resort’s brand voice and messaging standards
  • Develop messaging strategies supporting seasonal campaigns, promotions, and resort initiatives
  • Create compelling written content that supports marketing performance and revenue goals
  • Ensure consistency of tone, storytelling, and positioning across all guest-facing communications
  • Support digital guest experiences through UX-informed and conversion-focused messaging
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to translate operational offerings into clear guest benefits
