About your role: We are seeking a Content Marketing Specialist to join our growing marketing team and help our giving community put more good into the world through high-quality, strategic content. This role blends strong writing and editing skills with content strategy, SEO, AEO, and performance measurement. You’ll create and optimize content across channels that our giving community finds engaging, relevant, and valuable, collaborate closely with cross-functional partners, and use data and feedback to continuously improve content impact and effectiveness. Your team: You’ll be part of the Content team within Marketing, reporting to the Content Marketing Manager and working closely with Creative, Customer Marketing, Product Marketing, Brand, and other cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in content marketing, content strategy, or a related role
  • Strong writing and editing background across persuasive, technical, and other content types
  • Working knowledge of SEO best practices and familiarity with tools like SEMrush or Moz
  • Experience using analytics tools like GA4 and Google Search Console to evaluate content performance
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress and/or Webflow, and marketing collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence, and Slack
  • Understanding of basic marketing principles and content strategy fundamentals
  • Experience working cross-functionally and incorporating stakeholder feedback
  • Communication: You clearly articulate ideas through strong writing and thoughtful presentations, making complex concepts easy to understand and confidently guiding stakeholders through content decisions.
  • Collaboration: You work seamlessly with cross-functional partners, welcoming diverse perspectives and turning feedback into stronger, more effective content.
  • Storytelling: You transform customer insights, expert perspectives, and data into compelling narratives that inform, persuade, and connect with Givelify’s audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Own the successful development and execution of content deliverables that support various marketing and business goals
  • Create content that drives measurable outcomes, including traffic growth, engagement, and campaign performance
  • Develop content that effectively communicates Givelify’s value proposition to customers and consistently reflects our brand voice and tone
  • Optimize content for search and AI discovery, improving visibility, domain authority, and performance over time
  • Apply Givelify’s core content frameworks to create clear, consistent, and high-impact content across channels
  • Support campaigns and content strategies by executing high-impact, on-time content
  • Report on and evaluate content performance using defined KPIs and basic analytics
  • Write, edit, refresh, and optimize content across formats including blogs, emails, presentations, and campaign assets
  • Conduct keyword research, SEO audits, and content updates to address gaps and opportunities
  • Apply a customer-first mindset to content creation, ensuring messaging reflects the real needs, motivations, and challenges of Givelify’s giving community
  • Load, manage, and optimize content in our CMS platforms
  • Partner cross-functionally to lead stakeholder review sessions, gather input, and incorporate feedback to move work forward
  • Manage content workflows, document processes, and proactively communicate progress to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the Creative team to scope and request design assets
  • Interview internal and external experts, members of our giving community, and stakeholders to develop compelling stories
  • Assist with content planning, campaign execution, and content performance reporting
