Requirements

  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required
  • 7+ years proven accounting experience and career progression including managing direct reports required
  • Experience managing the accounting functions of a $100M+ revenue company required
  • Experience with month end closings required
  • Proven payroll experience, with a focus on streamlining accounting processes in ADP
  • Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
  • Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines related field
  • Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
  • Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • CPA preferred
  • Previous experience in public accounting is preferred
  • Experience in dental/healthcare industries required
  • Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
  • Experience with acquisitions and opening balance sheet preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks associated with month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis including review of staff workpapers
  • Compile month end and year end consolidating financial statements for lender reporting and audit
  • Review month end results with senior leadership
  • Prepare weekly cash-flow forecast that projects cash needs
  • Collaborate with executive team and partners to support efficient and effective firm-wide operation
  • Assist with the production of the annual budget and forecasts
  • Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, and controls
  • Oversee the activities of the finance department, such as accounts payable, payroll, and general accounting
  • Act on items beyond formal job responsibilities
  • Advance Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed, with research, planning and implementation
