About The Position

client in the Saint Louis, MO area is seeking a Controller to join their leadership team. Summary: This critical role oversees all accounting and financial reporting functions, ensures compliance with applicable regulations, and provides strategic financial insights and business forecasts to support leadership decision-making. The Controller will have oversight of the general ledger, accounts payable, FP&A, tax, and transactional accounting, as well as responsibility for HR oversight.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA is a plus; CPA preferred
• 10-15 years of experience in finance and accounting and leading a team
• Must have experience with a private equity backed company
• Competence with the latest financial software and technology
• Advanced skills in all aspects of the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Exemplary leadership skills and the ability to work positively with a team

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Review transactions and financial statements for accuracy, compliance, and budget alignment
• Serve as internal lead for the annual financial audit
• Utilize NetSuite to support corporate and subsidiary-level accountability
• Oversee internal AR and AP processes
• Partner with leadership on key financial decisions and analysis
• Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and statements in accordance with US GAAP
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements
