About The Position

The Coordinator I, Special Programs coordinates planning and implementation of campus tours and recruitment events (both on and off-campus) for prospective undergraduate and graduate students and families, school and community groups, VIP guests, high school counselors, community college advisors, and others. Tours include, but are not limited to: regular daily campus tours, special tours (transfer, twilight, faculty/staff, etc.), self-guided tours, virtual tours, and tours provided as part of event programming. Provide training, guidance, and leadership for part-time student tour guides. Support daily operations for the Dan Dipert University Welcome Center. Collaborate with staff across the division and the University in order to reach University enrollment goals. The annual salary for this position ranges from $42,800 to $47,000. The final offer will be based on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • One (1) year of experience in higher education and/or event planning.
  • Broad knowledge and experience of college admissions, recruitment, communications, and university policies/processes, or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience in similar role.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) or more years of experience planning, coordinating, and implementing events and/or campus visits in a higher education setting.
  • Experience in college admissions, enrollment management, academic affairs, or student affairs.
  • Experience advising student groups and/or supervising student workers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, plan, and implement all stages of campus visits for school and community groups – identify space, maintain calendars and agendas, schedule staff, run reports, develop presentations, communicate with stakeholders, etc.
  • Coordinate off-campus recruitment events for prospective FTIC and Transfer students.
  • Manage on-campus recruitment events for prospective Graduate students.
  • Oversee campus tours and visit opportunities for special populations and programs – Ticket to Transfer, Grad Tours, Twilight Tours, Faculty/Staff Tours, VIP guests, etc.
  • Coordinate educational events for high school counselors and community college advisors.
  • Manage UTA internship rotation in Arlington ISD’s Richard Greene Scholar program internship
  • Assist with hiring and supervision of 30-40 DDUWC part-time student workers. Evaluate performance based on mutually established objectives.
  • Manage technology associated with DDUWC and campus visits – Guidebook self-guided tour and event agenda app, BrightSign digital signage, Concept 3D virtual tour, Slate CRM .
  • Ensure that DDUWC operations run smoothly – daily campus tour schedule, supplies and materials, Slate CRM , maintenance/housekeeping, etc.
  • Serve as Saturday supervisor-on-duty at DDUWC at least once a month.
  • Monitor and evaluate events to further improve the success of future programming.
  • Maintain database of annual programs and budgets.
  • Serve as a liaison between DDUWC and the Admissions office, other campus departments, and university divisions.
  • Work collaboratively with all to implement relevant programming for prospective students and families.
  • Maintain knowledge of campus visit industry standards and best practices.
  • Maintain consistency with university branding by working with Enrollment Management. Marketing and product vendors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
