About The Position

The main purpose of this job is to assist with the Washington County Health Department’s (WCHD) mission of promoting, protecting, and improving the health of the county citizens. This position will provide weekly and ongoing supervision to the Family Support Specialists and Family Resource Specialists within the Healthy Families Washington County (HFWC) program. This position will protect the integrity of the program and demonstrates respect for the parallel process by supporting, guiding, and building on the strengths of staff so that they may best support, guide, and build on the strengths of the families served.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Two years of professional experience in assisting in the coordination of a health-related program(s) or referring people to governmental and private resources.
Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health-related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.

Willingness to engage in building reflective practice (e.g., capacity for introspection, communicating awareness of self in relation to others, recognizing value of supervision, etc.)
Experience with infant mental health endorsement.
Experience with reflective practice.
Experience working in multiple database systems.
