About The Position

Shaker Recruitment Marketing is now accepting applications for our 2026 summer internship program. Our internship program provides hands-on learning, mentorship, and networking opportunities that will help you build a strong foundation for your future career. We are seeking a highly organized Copywriting Intern to join our team for 10 weeks in our Oak Park office. The intern will gain hands-on experience in various creative areas, including: Shadowing the senior copywriters on their client work, including assisting in campaign concepting and writing headlines/body copy across web sites, social, banners, and more Collaborate with other designers, art directors, creative director, copywriters, developers, project managers, clients and account teams. Learn how employer brands are developed, participate in brainstorming concepts, and help develop creative assets. This internship offers a valuable opportunity for professional growth and exposure to diverse aspects of Creative and copy operations.

Requirements

  • Availability to work 32 hours+/week in our Oak Park office
  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Creative Writing, Journalism or related program
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other common software applications
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent creative and technical writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Eagerness to learn, grow and develop; open to taking on new challenges and embracing new ways of thinking.

Responsibilities
