About The Position

Shaner Hotel Group seeking an experienced Task Force Chef to join our dynamic hospitality team. This role is perfect for a highly adaptable culinary professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and loves the challenge of stepping into new kitchens at a moment’s notice. You’ll travel across our portfolio of hotels and restaurants to support pre-openings, cover temporary vacancies, implement new menus, and uphold brand standards in diverse culinary operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of culinary leadership experience, preferably in multi-unit, hotel, or resort settings.
  • Degree in Culinary Arts or related certification preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams and maintain standards under pressure.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be flexible and able to travel extensively (up to 100%, including extended stays).
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support kitchen operations during property openings, transitions, and staff shortages.
  • Train and mentor local culinary teams in company standards, recipes, and presentation.
  • Ensure consistency of quality, sanitation, and safety practices across all locations.
  • Collaborate with property management and corporate leadership to assess needs and deliver effective solutions.
  • Manage food and labor costs in alignment with company goals.
  • Create or adapt menus to reflect regional preferences while maintaining brand identity.
  • Represent the brand(s) professionally in all assignments.
