About The Position

Proof of the Pudding is an award-winning catering and hospitality company operating across 13 states, known for delivering innovative culinary experiences across premier venues and high-profile events. Our Sports & Entertainment division provides elevated culinary services for collegiate athletics, PGA golf tournaments, motorsports, concerts, conventions, and major sporting events across the United States. We are seeking an experienced, highly adaptable Task Force Executive Chef to serve as a key culinary leader supporting our national event portfolio. This Atlanta-based position will travel extensively (approximately 60–80% of the year) to support high-profile events, new account openings, and operational needs across multiple properties. The Task Force Executive Chef acts as a mobile culinary leader and operational resource, assisting with event execution, supporting culinary teams across venues, and ensuring Proof of the Pudding’s standards for quality, innovation, and hospitality are consistently achieved. This role will support a wide range of major events including: PGA Tour and professional golf tournaments Formula 1 and motorsports events Petit Le Mans College football and collegiate athletics Large-scale special events and festivals New account openings and culinary program launches Operational support for existing venues during peak demand Gap coverage for key culinary leadership roles when needed

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of leadership experience in high-volume culinary environments.
  • Experience in sports & entertainment hospitality, large-scale catering, stadium operations, or high-end restaurants preferred.
  • Ability to travel extensively (60–80% annually) and work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale culinary production and multi-day events.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to manage diverse culinary teams in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the culinary lead or senior support chef for major national events including PGA tournaments, motorsports events, collegiate athletics, and special events.
  • Execute high-volume culinary operations across multiple service periods while maintaining Proof of the Pudding’s standards for quality, consistency, and presentation.
  • Lead culinary teams in temporary and remote kitchens, ensuring operational efficiency and food safety.
  • Provide on-site leadership during large-scale events, including supervising production kitchens, satellite kitchens, and service areas.
  • Act as a culinary resource across all Sports & Entertainment properties, assisting venues experiencing staffing gaps, high demand periods, or operational challenges.
  • Support new account openings, including menu development, kitchen setup, hiring support, training, and operational launch.
  • Assist with operational transitions or special projects across the company’s event portfolio.
  • Collaborate with the SVP of Culinary and Regional Chefs to develop creative, regionally inspired menus aligned with Proof of the Pudding’s culinary identity.
  • Ensure menu execution is scalable for high-volume events while maintaining premium presentation and flavor profiles.
  • Assist with recipe development, culinary standards documentation, and event menu planning.
  • Participate in pre-event planning including production schedules, staffing plans, equipment logistics, and purchasing coordination.
  • Coordinate with sales, operations, and staffing departments to align culinary production with event timelines and guest counts.
  • Assist with kitchen layouts, temporary kitchen planning, and equipment requirements for remote event sites.
  • Assist with management of food cost, inventory controls, and event budgets.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and ordering for multi-day events and high-volume service periods.
  • Maintain purchasing standards and proper inventory management for events and temporary kitchens.
  • Lead and mentor culinary teams including sous chefs, cooks, and event staff.
  • Promote a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Maintain strong morale and a positive kitchen culture during demanding event schedules.
  • Ensure all culinary operations comply with local health codes, food safety standards, and Proof of the Pudding policies.
  • Maintain sanitation standards across kitchens, prep areas, storage areas, and service spaces.
