About The Position

We’re looking for a passionate and inventive Creative Technologist to join our AI Social Team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of our AI's first internal social creative team, a group of thinkers and makers defining how AI can creatively and meaningfully engage with the world. As a Creative Technologist, you are the bridge between ambitious ideas and functional magic. You live at the intersection of design, engineering, and culture. Your role is to dream alongside our creative team and then rapidly bring those dreams to life, building compelling prototypes and user experiences that harness technology in delightful ways. From initial concept to working code, you will be our expert on what's possible, pushing the boundaries of what AI can do in a social context. The right person for this role is an entrepreneur at heart with a healthy disrespect for the impossible. You are a resourceful problem-solver who thrives on tackling absurdly ambitious challenges under tight timelines. You will use data, cultural insights, and a deep understanding of the AI landscape to ideate, design, and build the future of social interaction.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in creative leadership across design, content, or brand storytelling
• Proven experience coding and deploying prototypes and interactive experiences. Must have a portfolio
• Deep knowledge of web technologies (JavaScript, Python, three.js, WebGL, Unity, etc.).
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and generative tools (e.g., LLMs, diffusion models).
• Skilled in algorithmic thinking and modern programming languages (Python, PHP, Ruby, Go, Java).
• A builder and a dreamer—you move fast from idea to execution.
• Energized by ambiguity and the unknown; you see uncharted territory as opportunity.
• Deeply curious about the ways technology can connect people and spark cultural relevance.
• Entrepreneurial and proactive, with a healthy disrespect for the “impossible.”
• A person who can think ahead and work independently
• Comfortable wearing many hats and operating in a highly collaborative, iterative environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with AR/VR tools, 3D modeling, and Unity a strong plus.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Ideate & Prototype: Collaborate with strategists and creatives to brainstorm and then rapidly build interactive prototypes, technical proofs-of-concept, and social-first experiments.
• Build & Code: Act as the primary technical maker on projects, writing the code for web experiences, interactive tools, AR effects, and AI-driven creative outputs.
• Innovate with AI: Actively explore and implement the latest advancements in AI/ML, particularly Large Language Models and generative tools (including our own Gemini API), to create novel social experiences.
• Technical Consultation: Serve as the team's technical expert, advising on the feasibility of creative ideas and architecting pathways from prototype to production.
• Trend & Technology Scouting: Stay on the bleeding edge of emerging technologies, social behaviors, and digital art, and translate these trends into actionable ideas for the Gemini brand.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to launch experiments and identify partners to scale successful innovations.
