About The Position

The Credit Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Credit Department by assisting with daily coverage needs, account maintenance tasks, and special projects as assigned. This role provides flexible support across teams and priorities based on department needs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Proficient in Microsoft products: Word, Excel, Outlook, and D365
  • Proficient in basic math skills, and accurate 10 key by touch
  • Excellent time management; self-directed and able to meet deadlines
  • Accurate data entry with attention to detail and possess strong organizational skills
  • Must be flexible with change, willing to take on new challenges
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be approachable with a good attitude
  • Reliable with excellent attendance and punctuality

Responsibilities

  • Communicate regularly with assigned Supervisor regarding daily tasks, priorities, and workload.
  • Support coverage for out of office Credit Representatives, including but not limited to: pool coverage; following up on accounts; reviewing reports; assisting with aging-related tasks; reviewing check copies provided by a Supervisor or AR Specialist; processing payments; and managing and responding to emails forwarded by a Supervisor.
  • Assist with posting payments when time permits and based on department priorities.
  • Support routine credit administration tasks, including but not limited to: Net 1/Net 3 account follow-up and maintenance; identifying and assisting with payment discrepancies; reviewing and assisting with customer reports; and closing accounts.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and updates within department systems and reports.
  • Provide support for credit department projects as assigned, based on business needs and workload capacity.
  • Assist with research and reporting related to accounts, transactions, or department initiatives.
  • Assist with special projects, coverage needs, or priority work during peak periods or staffing gaps.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.

Benefits

  • Salary Range: You`ll earn between $20.82 and $24.00 on an hourly basis, depending on experience.
  • Bonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 5% of base salary.
