About The Position

Position Summary The School of Social Work’s Colorado System of Care Workforce Capacity Center (CO-SOC WCC) seeks qualified applicants for an open position for a Colorado State University (CSU) Intensive Home-Based Treatment Coach. This position will provide training consultation and technical assistance on evidence-based practices (EBPs), program implementation (including Intensive Home-Based Treatment), and Colorado System of Care (CO-SOC) workforce policies and practices. The CSU Intensive Home-Based Treatment (IHBT) Coach is responsible for providing training on evidence-based and evidence-supported treatments, including Intensive Home-Based Treatment, to support WCC efforts toward achieving high-quality training and provider development across the CO-SOC model. The CSU IHBT Coach will provide systems level, program, and clinical consultation and training for organizations implementing Intensive Home-Based Treatment to prepare all staff within the provider organizations to implement IHBT with fidelity. Department The Colorado State School of Social Work is a nationally recognized program, offering both Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work degrees. It's part of the College of Health and Human Sciences, and its programs are accredited by the Council on Social Work Education CSU School of Social Work

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Development, or a discipline appropriate to the training being conducted
  • Independent licensure with supervisory credentials in one of the following disciplines: Counselor, Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Psychologist (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, PsyD, PhD)
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in training, management, and program implementation within the mental health or substance abuse system

  • Functional knowledge of children’s behavioral health policies, rules and practices
  • Working knowledge of Colorado System of Care service workflows and protocols
  • Comprehensive assessment training and technical assistance experience in behavioral health field
  • Extensive knowledge about child and adolescent mental and behavioral health and best practice treatments
  • Strong clinical skill set
  • Experience utilizing a variety of synchronous and asynchronous learning formats
  • Excellent small/large group facilitation skills
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with limited supervision while being highly self-motivated and self-directed
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment
  • CANS (Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths assessment) certification or plan to be certified

Responsibilities

  • Participate in train-the-trainer events and demonstrate expert knowledge and training competencies for the delivery of the core IHBT model curriculum
  • Provide quality training on the Intensive Home-Based Treatment model to behavioral health professionals for the purpose of assisting new and existing providers in developing a foundational knowledge of the Colorado IHBT model
  • Provide coaching and consultation to individual IHBT programs (supervisors and direct care staff) to support implementation of the model with fidelity and consistency
  • Assist in the delivery of professional development activities including but not limited to the facilitation of assigned learning communities and/or coaching activities
  • Shadow direct care staff and supervisors in field-based mentoring to support the development of necessary skills.
  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of statewide training processes including but not limited to: Identification of provider training needs to guide development of the IHBT training plan, Work closely with other CSU trainers and the Professional Development Specialist to ensure that all learning objectives, program descriptions, and timed agendas are provided within the necessary application timelines, Support the tracking and validation of training attendance and certification for continuing education
  • Work collaboratively with state partners and communities to provide IHBT overviews in targeted regions throughout the state
  • Meet all assigned project deliverables related to CO-SOC in a timely and professional manner, including any required project reports to partners or funders.
  • Other duties as assigned
