Requirements

  • Command of English language to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Proficient in general math
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Must be able to type a minimum of 40 wpm
  • An excellent phone voice and a colorful / dynamic personality is essential
  • Comfortable with existing and constant changes in technology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility with changing job duties

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in telephone customer service/call center environment helpful
  • Transportation experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Environment, particularly Excel, Word and Email

Responsibilities

  • Provide general LTL and volume quoting
  • Coordinate and quote Fast Track / Time Definite shipments
  • Schedule pick-ups
  • Trace shipments and provide freight charges
  • Process re-billings from sales reps, 3rd parties and customers
  • Process fax and Internet requests
  • Handle Managed Accounts and special requests from customers and sales reps.
  • Effective and efficiently resolve customer issues and respond to customer questions regarding shipments; develop and maintain positive relationships with customers
  • Meet monthly department telephone and email goals
  • Receive and accurately direct incoming telephone calls for PITT OHIO and associated companies
  • Represent the PITT OHIO brand in a friendly, welcoming, and warm manner with all callers and visitors
  • Greet clients and visitors and notify staff of visitor’s arrival
  • Provide information and assistance to clients and customers
  • Maintain welcoming environment
  • Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
