The Division of Real Estate & Professional Licensing helps ensure Ohioans’ investment in their largest asset – their homes – is a sound one. This includes licensing, educating, and enforcing Ohio laws for real estate brokers, salespersons, real estate appraisers, home inspectors and foreign real estate dealers and homes. Dealers/brokers and salespersons are also licensed through this program. As the state’s chief regulator, the Department of Commerce impacts Ohioans every day. We ensure compliance through proactive outreach, education, and customer-focused service. Commerce is comprised of eight operating divisions and one standalone program that span a variety of industries including real estate, liquor, banking, securities, firefighting, construction and skilled trades, and cannabis. Through exceptional compliance practices and oversight, Commerce has a direct role in protecting Ohioans. What You'll Do: Respond to phone and email inquiries received by the Division’s Customer Support Center. Process incoming mail to include stamping, reviewing for completeness, logging and filing. Assist with research into customer inquiries Assist with records, data, documentation and reports Complete other general office tasks, as needed Hours scheduled per week will vary dependent on workload. Intermittent employment is not eligible for benefits.
