About The Position

The Lead plays a key role in supporting daily café operations, ensuring smooth food service flow, and guiding team members throughout their shifts. This position requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a positive, productive work environment. Leads act as a bridge between the team and management, helping maintain standards, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Previous café, food service, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, carry, or move items as required for café operations.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Proficient in English verbal and written
  • Proficient with iOS devices
  • Flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and kneel repetitively
  • Safely work with provided cleaning chemical and equipment
  • Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period
  • Must be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended period
  • Ability to work in a smoking and pet-friendly environment

Nice To Haves

  • Prior professional cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Keep team members on task and provide direction as needed to maintain smooth operations.
  • Support staff with any challenges or needs that arise during service.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative environment that encourages teamwork and communication.
  • Ensure all assigned side work is completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas, following café standards and health guidelines.
  • Always follow the established chain of commands.
  • Communicate clearly with Supervisors or Managers regarding operational issues, shortages, or concerns.
  • Relay important updates or instructions to team members as needed.
