About The Position

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. is now accepting applications for its Summer 2026 Intern Program. This exciting opportunity offers a paid, 10-week experience for selected UNDERGRAD OR GRAD (based on HM request) students. The program will run from June 1 to August 7. Eligible students will be seniors or recent graduates, possess U.S. work authorization, and be able to work full-time on a 5-day-per-week on-site schedule. Additionally, participation in this program requires that you be located in the United States for the duration of the engagement. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so early submission is encouraged. Role and Responsibilities Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated intern to join our strategy department within a sales organization. The intern will focus on automating data cleaning, report creation, and distribution processes to enhance operational efficiency. The role involves reverse engineering existing reports, optimizing Excel files, and implementing improvements to reduce manual work and improve performance. Familiarity with Python for scripting and automation will be an added advantage. This is a unique opportunity to make an immediate impact on the day-to-day operations of a multi-billion-dollar account. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Excel, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work proactively in an organized manner.

Requirements

Prior experience with data analysis, Excel automation, Python scripting, or similar projects is a plus.
Strong communication skills, ability to work collaboratively, and adaptability to new challenges.
Advanced knowledge of Excel functions, formulas, and features to optimize and improve existing reports.
Familiarity with Python for data manipulation, automation, and scripting to enhance efficiency.
Ability to clean, organize, and process large datasets efficiently using both Excel and Python.
Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student (or recent graduate). Seniors or recent graduates preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (functions, formulas, features).
Familiarity with Python for data manipulation, automation, and scripting.
Experience with data cleaning and processing using Excel and Python.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
Ability to work proactively and adapt to new challenges.

Responsibilities

Automate Data Cleaning Processes: Develop and implement Python scripts to streamline data cleaning tasks, reducing manual effort and improving accuracy.
Reverse Engineer Existing Reports: Analyze and understand the structure and logic of current reports to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Optimize Excel Files: Review and enhance complex Excel files, including formulas and macros, to improve efficiency and performance.
Create and Distribute Reports: Design and automate the creation of reports, ensuring timely and accurate distribution to relevant stakeholders.
Reduce Manual Work: Identify repetitive tasks and implement solutions to minimize manual intervention, enhancing overall operational efficiency.
Improve Performance: Propose and implement changes to existing processes to improve speed, accuracy, and reliability.
Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with the sales strategy team to understand their needs and provide solutions that enhance their day-to-day operations.
Proactively Identify Issues: Anticipate potential problems and propose solutions to prevent disruptions in the workflow.
Maintain Organized Documentation: Keep detailed records of processes, changes, and improvements for future reference and scalability.
