About The Position

ExtraMile Convenience Stores LLC is a joint venture owned by Chevron and Jacksons Food Stores. The ExtraMile network is currently made up of more than 1,1,00 convenience stores in Alabama, Arizona, California, Georgia, Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington. ExtraMile Convenience Stores LLC is a fast-growing franchisor expanding store count and geography annually.
The Data BI Solutions Developer plays a key role in designing, building, and supporting scalable, sustainable data solutions that drive business insight and decision-making across EMCS. As part of the Business Intelligence team, this role is responsible for understanding business challenges, delivering effective technical solutions, and owning outcomes from development through impact. The ideal candidate is a business-minded problem solver who leverages technology to create value, is comfortable working across the full data stack, and embodies a T-shaped skillset bringing deep expertise in a core area while contributing broadly across the data ecosystem.
This position is remote for those residing in the states of Georgia and Ohio.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Business Technology, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Engineer, Application Developer, Business Intelligence Developer or related role
• A history of identifying the root cause of issues and using problem-solving methods to arrive at the ideal resolution
• Ability to resolve conflicts and act to make things right for the customer
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with several priorities while being flexible to shift priority
• A passion for working with others towards common goals
• Strong experience with SQL and data warehousing concepts
• Proficiency in BI tools and semantic data modeling
• Experience with APIs and system integrations
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT best practices
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, etc.)
• Business-minded approach with the ability to leverage technology to solve problems
• Understanding and application of responsible AI practices

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Azure tools (SQL Database, Synapse, Power BI, Azure Data Factory, etc.)
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, XML, JSON, .NET, or similar
• Experience using and building workflows in Monday.com
• Exposure to or experience with agentic AI implementation

Responsibilities

• Partner with franchisees and cross-functional stakeholders to identify business challenges and translate them into actionable BI and technology solutions, to drive measurable value
• Lead and manage multiple strategic BI initiatives, simultaneously, ensuring alignment with business priorities, timelines, and success metrics
• Operate in an agile-adjacent environment by promoting iterative development, continuous feedback, and strong cross-team collaboration
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, data models, and BI solutions to support reporting, analytics, and decision-making
• Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and availability of data delivered to internal teams, vendors, and external partners
• Support and optimize end-to-end data operations and analytics workflows, including data ingestion, transformation, and visualization
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) by advising stakeholders on data structures, reporting capabilities, technology solutions, and best practices for data usage
• Identify opportunities to improve data quality, governance, and process efficiency across systems and teams
• Other duties as assigned
