About The Position

We are looking for a Data Architect with expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF) and SQL is responsible for designing, building, and optimizing an organization's data infrastructure using Microsoft technologies to support analytics and business intelligence. This role requires a strong blend of technical skills, strategic thinking, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: Data Architecture Design: Define the enterprise data architecture strategy, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources (e.g., SAP, other databases, APIs) into data storage systems. Database Management & Optimization: Architect and manage databases and data warehouses, with a focus on Azure SQL Database and SQL Server. This includes performance tuning, writing complex SQL queries, and optimizing database objects like stored procedures and functions. Data Storage & Modeling: Select and manage appropriate data storage solutions (e.g., Azure Data Lake, data warehouses) and implement effective data modeling techniques, such as star/snowflake schemas or Medallion Architecture, for analytics and reporting. Governance & Security: Implement data governance frameworks, security measures (RBAC, encryption), data quality standards, and ensure compliance with regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR). Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with data engineers, analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Provide technical leadership and mentor junior team members. Documentation: Create and maintain technical specifications, process documentation, and data flow diagrams.

Requirements

• At least 10+ years in data engineering or architecture roles, with specific experience as an Azure Data Architect.
• Deep expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF) and SQL is essential. Hands-on experience with other Azure services like Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS).
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages, especially Python or PySpark.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is typically required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are critical for stakeholder management and presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of data governance tools, such as Microsoft Purview, is a plus.
