About The Position

The Data & Reporting Specialist owns the design, development, and optimization of reporting solutions that power executive and operational decision-making. In partnership with the Senior Financial Analyst, this role transforms complex data into clear, actionable insights across multiple enterprise systems while modernizing reporting processes. What You Get To Do: Design and build reporting solutions by developing dashboards and reports in Power BI, Workday, Matrix, Planfold, Excel, and Therap, transforming raw data into intuitive visualizations that drive business decisions. Maintain and ensure data integrity by debugging, refreshing, validating, and reconciling data sources to deliver accurate, consistent, and reliable reporting. Collaborate across teams by partnering with FP&A, HR, Payroll, and operational leaders to gather requirements, anticipate reporting needs, and streamline cross-functional workflows. Support system transitions and improvements by assisting with legacy-to-Workday implementations, including data conversions and Adaptive Planning dashboards, while identifying automation and efficiency opportunities. Continuously learn and innovate by expanding technical expertise across systems and proactively enhancing reporting practices in a dynamic, evolving environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required, with a strong foundation in quantitative reasoning and data literacy.
  • Minimum 2 years in data analytics, reporting, or business intelligence, with a track record of turning raw data into actionable insights.
  • Project Leadership & Collaboration: Proven ability to lead projects and work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, aligning stakeholders and resources to achieve organizational goals.
  • Reporting Standardization & Automation: Experience standardizing, streamlining, and automating reports and metrics, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and consistent delivery of insights.
  • Microsoft 365 & Excel Expertise: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint, including managing large datasets, pivot tables, formulas, and filtering, and leveraging tools for reporting, analysis, presentations, and collaboration.
  • Business Intelligence & Analytics: Power BI (Power Query, DAX), Tableau, SQL, and advanced Excel; Python or R preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Familiarity with Workday and Workday Adaptive Planning, including report and dashboard development; ability to learn additional systems (Matrix, Planfold, Therap).
  • Experience with technical projects or data initiatives, with portfolio examples preferred, and exposure to financial reporting, P&L, forecasting, and trend analysis.
  • Background in software development or technical projects, with portfolio examples preferred.
  • Google Data Analytics Certificate or other formal analytics training, and relevant Workday certifications such as Workday Pro Prism Analytics, Workday Pro HCM Reporting, and Workday Pro Financials Reporting.

Benefits

  • Compensation: Starting $90,000 annually, fixed rate.
  • Work Environment: Hybrid. Days in office will fluctuate week by week.
  • Hours: Must maintain a flexible schedule but standard business hours (Mon-Fri), plus occasional extended overnight travel.

  • Work Schedule: Typically, 8 AM – 5 PM CST, flexibility available; travel would occur once a quarter, required for events (ex. Workday Conference), or to meet with internal teams.
