About The Position

As our next Equipment Operator/Driver, you’ll be at the heart of our mission—delivering essential services that help improve public safety, enhance environmental quality, and keep things running smoothly. Primarily transporting and operating Powerboss riding industrial floor scrubbing equipment inside steel plant facilities. Support overnight parking lot sweeping routes as needed based on business needs.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Experience hauling equipment trailers, landscaping trailers, or similar required.
  • Prior experience operating floor scrubbers, sweepers, heavy equipment, or similar equipment preferred.
  • Must maintain an acceptable driving record and successfully pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check, background check, DOT physical, and drug screening in accordance with Company policy and applicable law.
  • Ability to work a full-time first shift schedule with flexibility for occasional night work.
  • Ability to work both indoors in industrial environments and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks including walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing in and out of equipment.
  • Ability to operate equipment safely with strong attention to surroundings and safety protocols.
  • Strong reliability, organization, and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience operating floor scrubbers, sweepers, heavy equipment, or similar equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Powerboss industrial riding floor scrubbers to clean interior steel plant floors according to customer and company standards.
  • Operate parking lot street sweeper trucks at commercial shopping centers and retail locations as assigned.
  • Transport equipment trailers safely to and from job sites using company vehicles (experience hauling trailers required).
  • Perform required pre-trip and equipment inspections to ensure safe and proper operation.
  • Follow assigned routes and schedules and complete all work within allotted timeframes.
  • Remove debris, trash, and other materials from floors and parking areas.
  • Empty trash receptacles, blow off walk areas, and pick up large debris when servicing exterior properties.
  • Maintain accurate logs and sweep validation per company procedures.
  • Safely travel between job sites and operate equipment in compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Refuel equipment and vehicles at the end of shifts as needed.
  • Report equipment issues, safety concerns, accidents, or near misses immediately to supervisors.
  • Maintain SCA’s standards of safety, quality, and professionalism.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operations.
