Eligibility requirements vary by position. Responsible for administering and directing all loss prevention and quality control policies and procedures at our third-party perishable/frozen consolidation facilities including: (1) developing daily staffing plans to ensure QC coverage in all operational areas; (2) verifying quality control checks in receiving; (3) verifying 100% quality control audits on outbound shipments; (4) ensuring all club shipping lanes are audited and pallets are stacked properly prior to closing selling club loads; (5) investigating all discrepancies and documenting errors to be utilized in follow-up training with team members to reduce potential shrink; (6) investigating and documenting safety incidents and accidents, providing written reports of findings to third-party management; and (7) training new team members in proper QC procedures.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Business Management required.
  • Two years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or food distribution environment.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, quality control procedures, loss prevention procedures and inventory control procedures.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong personal computer skills using Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily activities of the Quality Control Department to ensure all procedures are being performed and all shipping lanes are audited prior to manifesting outbound club loads.
  • Provide guidance to Quality Control Leads concerning staffing levels to achieve a steady flow of merchandise.
  • Maintain efficient and timely research and recovery efforts on all inventory and shipping discrepancies.
  • Document all errors to be use for retraining Quality Control team members to ensure 100% accuracy and zero shrink.
  • Investigate and document all safety incidents and accidents.
  • Maintain outbound accuracy rate of 100% through enforcement of all procedures and policies, timely investigation of discrepancies and team member retraining.
  • Advise Logistics Financial Control of necessary inventory adjustments based on investigative results.
  • Ensure that all office data entry functions are performed to ensure all purchase orders are entered.
  • Resolve Selling club inquiries timely.
  • Communicate operational issues to third-party facility manager for resolution.
  • Maintain safety compliance throughout the facility.
  • Ensure violations of safety policies are being reported and documented timely and safety retraining sessions are being conducted.
  • Support and assist in the development of safety programs which raise awareness and reduce safety accidents/incidents.
  • Positive Receiving Accuracy: Achieve accuracy of shipments to the selling clubs that meet or exceed prescribed annual goal.
  • Perishable Cost Per Case: Achieve expense control within the third-party perishable DC to meet or exceed prescribed annual goal.
  • Distribution Center Operations: Oversee all positive receiving and sampling processes within your shift to meet or exceed prescribed annual goals.
  • Quality Standards: Achieve quality standards and practices in accordance to company objectives.
