About The Position

The Deal Desk Support role partners closely with Sales, Sales Operations, Finance, and Leadership to ensure deals are structured accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with internal processes and client requirements. This role is responsible for supporting deal workflows, maintaining documentation, building reports, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the sales organization. This individual will serve as a critical operational backbone for the Viasat Ads program—ensuring speed, accuracy, and consistency from opportunity creation through deal approval and execution.

Requirements

  • Strong experience creating and maintaining process documentation and workflow diagrams
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and lookup formulas
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce (opportunity management, reporting, dashboards)
  • Experience building or supporting reporting in Tableau or similar BI tools
  • Strong PowerPoint skills for leadership-facing presentations
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, sales-driven environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience supporting Deal Desk, Sales Operations, or Revenue Operations teams
  • Familiarity with pricing, approvals, and contract workflows
  • Experience working with advertising, media, or SaaS sales teams
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, and Leadership

Responsibilities

  • Support deal review, approval, and submission processes in partnership with Sales, Sales Ops, and Finance
  • Build, maintain, and optimize process documentation, SOPs, and playbooks for deal desk workflows
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track deal performance, pipeline health, and operational metrics
  • Ensure data accuracy and hygiene within Salesforce, including opportunity fields, pricing inputs, and approvals
  • Create and analyze reporting using Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data validation)
  • Support leadership reporting and presentations using PowerPoint
  • Leverage Tableau (or similar BI tools) to visualize trends and insights where applicable
  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to increase deal velocity and reduce friction
  • Act as a liaison between sales teams and cross-functional stakeholders to resolve deal-related questions
  • Support ad-hoc analysis and operational projects as needed
  • Other applicable duties as assigned
