The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is seeking a visionary and dynamic leader to serve as the Dean of the CSN School of Business, Hospitality and Public Services. The Dean serves as the senior academic leader for the School, overseeing four academic departments: Accounting & Finance, Business Administration, Criminal Justice and Hospitality Management. The Dean leads nearly 200 full-time and part-time faculty and staff across CSN’s multi-campus environment and ensures academic excellence, workforce alignment, fiscal stewardship, student success outcomes, and compliance with CSN, NSHE, accreditation, and collective bargaining requirements. The Dean supports approximately 9,000 students who have declared majors and/or take classes in programs offered by this School each year. The School serves a diverse student population pursuing transfer degrees, applied workforce credentials, stackable certificates, industry certifications, and professional advancement. The Dean provides strategic direction for the School, fostering an environment of innovation and excellence in teaching, research, and service. Responsibilities include budget management, faculty and staff oversight, community representation, and ensuring program relevance and quality. The Dean will also lead the development of the School’s Academic Master Plan and work closely with faculty to promote continuous improvement and student success. The Dean also provides executive leadership oversight for Russell’s Restaurant, CSN’s community-facing, student-operated restaurant that serves as a capstone experiential learning environment for culinary and hospitality students. This venue functions as both a teaching laboratory and a public engagement platform, requiring strong operational oversight, fiscal accountability, community relations leadership, and alignment with instructional objectives. In addition, the Dean provides institutional leadership support and academic coordination for the Southern Nevada Regional Police Academy, which CSN supports as part of its public safety program. This includes collaboration with law enforcement agencies, oversight of CSN alignment, and ensuring high standards of training, compliance, and community partnership. This position requires a leader who understands the unique intersection of business innovation, hospitality and tourism economies, culinary excellence, public service professions, law enforcement training, workforce development, and transfer pathways within one of the nation’s most dynamic metropolitan regions. The Dean reports to the CSN Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs (Chief Academic Officer) and serves as a member of the CSN Senior Academic Leadership Team.
