The Raytheon team is looking for a Engineer Scrum Master to join team Firefly, supporting the AN/TPY-2 missile defense program and the Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) Software (SW) Department. The MDS SW Department’s mission is to provide world class Radar and Command and Control (C2) Software for our customers’ wide array of Surveillance and Warning Systems. We align to the core Agile and DevSecOps principles of collaborative operation across the entire value stream, delivering high-frequency, high-quality deployments to our customers. Team Firefly’s mission is to support domestic tests and internationally deployed assets. The team is responsible for installing, configuring, and calibrating radar software, requirements maintenance, site anomaly reporting, and reach back support to tests and deployed operations. This position is onsite in Woburn MA when not traveling.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience in the field of Engineering, including any of the following: System Requirements definition and analysis. System Test and Analysis Systems Engineering Software Engineering Software Development Software Test and Analysis using MATLAB C/C++, Ada, Java DOORS
  • Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in Agile environments such as scrum, scrum at scale, SAFe and/or DevSecOps.
  • Experience using debugging tools to quickly identify and fix bugs, as well as optimize for performance.
  • Experience on XBR, AN/TPY-2, COBRA DANE, QEWR, UEWR, SRP or other current missile defense programs.
  • Data analysis using any combination of scripting tools, Python, Matlab, and COTS products.
  • Knowledge of Redhat and Linux Operating Systems.
  • Experience with tools such as Atlassian Suite (e.g., Bitbucket/Artifactory, Confluence, Crucible, Fisheye, Jira), Jenkins, Eclipse, and Ansible.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements.
  • Experience working in a continuous integration/continuous development environment; experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, technical writing, oral presentation and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Possess an availability and willingness to travel CONUS (Contiguous United States) and OCONUS (Outside CONUS) (15% travel expected).
  • Provide reach-back support to OCONUS/CONUS sites through process updates or investigation of system anomalies – support can occasionally be off-hours.
  • Work collaboratively with all disciplines to analyze, implement, and test system modification requests to the existing system baseline.
  • Lead Agile ceremonies for team execution and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate team meetings, sprint planning and reviews, retrospectives and standups.
  • Maintain a backlog for planning and execution.
  • Report team Agile metrics to leadership using Jira.
