About The Position

This advertisement is for a Career Service position located in the Office of Judges of Compensation Claims in Pensacola, FL. The duties and responsibilities of the Deputy Clerk I generally involve quality control of documents uploaded by OJCC staff; processing various reports; handling phone calls from district staff and the public; processing orders entered by judges; processing and uploading incoming mail; and cross-training for other positions. The duties may specifically include any or all of the following job functions: Detailed review of uploaded documents for accuracy; Case and docket management functions as required; Processing e-mail requests for database changes/updates; Processing and uploading incoming and outgoing mail; Generate a variety of reports on a daily basis and process appropriately; Perform petition processing as required; Answer telephone calls; Occasional coverage of various tasks for co-workers who may be out; Develop and maintains a system for tracking and monitoring deadlines.

Requirements

  • Must possess a high school diploma or the equivalent
  • Proficiency with Microsoft computer programs, such as Word, Outlook, and Excel, and ability to learn the custom database program used for case management
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • High levels of concentration
  • Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to organize work and effectively manage time

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a legal setting is preferred
