About The Position

This position provides direct oversight of Housing, the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program, Elder Rights, and all services delivered under the Older Americans Act (OAA) and the Home and Community Care Block Grant (HCCBG). The role offers leadership, guidance, and support to program management staff responsible for these statewide services. The individual in this position works closely with the statewide network of Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) and Council of Governments (COG) associations, ensuring coordination, compliance, and alignment with federal and state priorities. The position also collaborates with the Division Director and the All Ages, All Stages leadership team to implement strategic initiatives under the State’s Multi sector Plan on Aging. This role fosters collaboration, team building, and cross‑division partnership to enhance program effectiveness. Additionally, the position serves as acting Division Director in the Director’s absence, providing continuity of leadership and decision‑ making.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in an area specific to the program from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of experience in the area of assignment, including three years in a supervisory or consultative capacity; or Bachelor's degree in an area specific to the program from an appropriately accredited institution and seven years of experience in the area of assignment, including three years in a supervisory or consultative capacity; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
