About The Position

As a Senior Director of Treasury you'll lead the development and execution of strategies for capital management, liquidity and funding, asset liability management, and the investment portfolio. In this role, you'll manage the bank's capital, liquidity, interest rate risk, and FX exposure, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and preparing the bank for it's transition to a Tailoring Amendment Category 4 institution as it surpasses $100 billion in assets. You'll provide strategic insights and in-depth financial analysis, overseeing capital planning, liquidity management, derivatives, and hedging activities. Responsible for overseeing liquidity, developing and periodically reviewing liquidity metrics, reviewing the operational cash buffer, performing LCR calculations, and ensuring compliance with Board and regulatory guidelines. Prepare quarterly and ad-hoc forecasts of capital. Assist with the development and execution of Board-approved capital actions, and review relevant regulations and peer research related to liquidity and capital planning. Assist in analytics and stress testing related to capital and liquidity, including executing equity/debt transactions as part of liquidity and capital planning strategies. Review and coordinate the approval of Asset Liability Management, Contingency Funding Plan, Capital Management Policies, and the Asset Liability Management Committee (ALCO) Charter with internal stakeholders, Management Committees, and the Board. Oversee forecasts for interest rate risk, capital, and liquidity. Assist management in the pricing of loans and deposits. Collaborate with senior leadership, the board, and cross-functional teams to drive financial stability and risk management initiatives. Support the Treasurer in liquidity oversight, compliance monitoring, and forecasting while maintaining strong governance and regulatory adherence. Facilitate business strategy and coordinate responses and remediation activities. Provide periodic and ad-hoc reporting to ALCO and Finance & Investments Committee (FIC), offering critical insights and recommendations.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of related experience in Finance (GL Mgmt., Public Reporting, Analysis), Accounting or similar field.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field required; Masters or MBA in related field preferred.
  • Previous leadership experience required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, management skills with a team first approach.
  • Expert knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Experience in Asset Liability/Financial Risk management role involving balance sheet modeling in a U.S. regulated commercial banking, investment banking, or consumer credit environment.
  • Expert experience working at a Large Financial Institution (LFI) with assets over $100 billion.
  • Expert knowledge of capital management, liquidity and funding, asset liability management, and investment portfolios.
  • Expert speaking and writing communication skills.
  • Occasional travel required.

  • Chartered Financial Analysts preferred.

  • Certified Treasury Professional preferred.
