A Day in the Life As a 3rd Shift Diesel Technician at Universal Truck Service, you will work a 4/10 schedule - four ten-hour nights Monday through Thursday, with three-day weekends every week. You will diagnose failures, perform PM services, and handle electrical, suspension, brake, and drivetrain repairs on heavy-duty trucks in a well-lit, updated shop. Requirements

2+ years of experience as a Diesel Technician or Diesel Mechanic
Own tools and toolbox
Valid driver's license
Strong attention to detail, reliability, and basic computer skills
High school diploma required

Nice To Haves

Technical degree or DOT certification a plus

Responsibilities

Perform PM services, brake and ABS repairs, suspension and drivetrain work
Diagnose and repair electrical systems - chassis and engine
Perform transmission and driveline repairs
Accurately document all work performed
Maintain a clean, safe work area at all times

Benefits

$28–$40/hr depending on experience
$2/hr shift differential
$1000- $1,500 performance bonus every 90 days (80% of Universal Truck Service Diesel Mechanics hit it)
$300 tool and boot bonus every 90 days
